meditation Benches

These benches were custom ordered by a customer for a meditation group.  She wanted each bench personalized to match the interests of the recipient.

St. Louis Baseball Stadium Seats & table

The stadium seats were salvaged from the old St. Louis Cardinals stadium.  The base is constructed from ash - what else?  The table was designed to match the baseball theme and is constructed of iron plates on the top and bottom with a stitch to simulate the stitches on a ball.  The finishing touch - several old balls as the pedestal.

Pecan Bench

This bench is made from Spalted Pecan, milled from my Grandmother’s tree.  The bench top is 3” thick and the legs are made from the split trunk and joined to the top with mortis and tenon joints.  The free-edge of the top and natural legs complete the rustic/refined look.

Mesquite Vanity

This client wanted a refined rustic look for her guest bathroom.  We used highly figured Mesquite to pull this off.  We installed the vanity top and slatted shelves, giving this small bathroom lots of character and an at-the-spa feel.

Salt Box

Jewelry Cabinet

This cabinet is made from Black Walnut and Poplar and trimmed in Mahogany.  Its eleven drawers have hand-cut dovetail joinery and the drawer fronts are cut from the same piece of lumber.  Its hand-rubbed finish lets the beauty of the wood show through and invites touching.  (Don’t tell anyone, but it has a secret drawer as well) Click on each image to open larger view.
